A Major Misplaced Entry 1

This When I first saw this stamp in a lot on eBay, my first thought was that it was likely a kiss print, it was SO incredibly doubled! However, my mind was quickly changed a moment later when I looked at another stamp in the same lot...There was a SECOND copy with the exact same doubling! So, the doubling is REAL, not just a slip or kiss print! The shift is a good 0.6mm, qualifying it for 'misplaced entry' status. A truly OUTSTANDING stamp!

^ 1975 United States Specialist: Loran C. French published an article abut the 2¢ Columbian in which he referred to this phenomenal double transfer as a TRIPLE Entry with this illustration. ^

Major  Misplaced Entry 2

This is a double transfer of major proportions, with a marked upwards shift showing strong doubling in UNITED STATES, the left '2,' 'POSTAGE  T' and in and above 'LANDING OF COLUMBUS.'

I am pleased to report that another of the great stamps in the lot of 5 that I mention above was a copy of the stamp reported here some time ago by Peter Lenk. It's nice to have a second copy to prove constancy.
